Wines of Great Britain Ltd (WineGB) is the national organisation for grape growers and winemakers. WineGB provides advice, support and services for its members and their businesses, it represents its members’ views and campaigns on their behalf to ensure fair legislation for the industry and its continued success.

  • Guidelines and advice for exporting, to include regulations, available support and other requirements for key markets

Government Relations
  • Work with Wine Champions Neil Parish MP and Anthea McIntyre MEP
  • Creation of an All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), to provide a powerful route to campaign on behalf of industry issues
  • Work with government and other bodies taking our industry view on issues related to Brexit and duty
  • Ensure Government support of our work with Chemicals Regulatory Division for plant protection products.
Research and Development
  • Horizon scanning for resources and research papers relevant to members
  • Research projects to improve quality, yield, consistency and sustainability within the industry.
Training and Recruitment
  • Ongoing programme of training opportunities to meet the needs of all members
  • Apprenticeships and international exchange opportunities
  • Consideration of a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme
Sponsorship and support
  • Patrons: key businesses to bring further sponsorship to the industry, as well as bring additional membership benefits for good/services.

The Regional Vineyard Associations

The UK is made up of seven Regional Vineyard Associations who play a very important role in the structure of the industry. On joining WineGB, you also become a member of your geographic region. You are welcome to join another region also.
