Apply for quality status:

To apply for PDO, PGI or Varietal certification for your wines, please use the appropriate form, downloadable from this page. The forms have been revised for use from 13th March 2017.

Important information for PDO and PGI applications, including new payment method

The project to move the application process online has encountered some delays. We will keep you updated, but in the meantime, please continue to use the process below. 

 

PLEASE DO NOT send payment to Campden BRI or UKVA, only pay on invoice.

This is a change in procedure necessary to improve processing speed and efficiency.

PGI and PDO applications:

  1. Complete the relevant form and send it to ‘winescheme@ukva.org.uk’or by post to the usual address.  Please find forms and guidance here

  1. The form/s will be checked and an application number allocated.   Application numbers can still be requested in advance from winescheme@ukva.org.uk
  2. On receipt of the application number, a copy of the form, and any other required documentation should be sent with the samples to Campden BRI at the usual address.
  3. On completion of the process Campden BRI will invoice for the Post-bottling analysis and  no-faults tasting. The UKVA will invoice for the application administration.

For Varietal applications:

The completed form should be sent, with payment, to the address on the form.
